    The full history matters.

Bipolar depression occurs within bipolar disorder, which involves depressive episodes and episodes of mania or hypomania. Looking only at the current low mood can miss important parts of the picture.

We ask about changes in sleep, energy, activity, irritability, and decision-making over time, along with previous treatment and family history.

A plan for today and for the long term.

Treatment commonly combines medication management with psychotherapy and support for daily routines. Some medications require laboratory tests or other monitoring. We explain the purpose of your treatment and what to watch for between appointments.

Antidepressants alone may trigger mania in some people with bipolar disorder. This is one reason an accurate history and ongoing follow-up are important.

    Follow-up with continuity.

Your visits focus on how you are actually doing: mood, sleep, daily functioning, medication effects, and what has changed since we last met. We work with you on recognizing early warning signs and making a plan for worsening symptoms.

If you have an existing diagnosis, bring prior records and your medication list. If the diagnosis is uncertain, we can begin with a careful evaluation.

Care that meets you where you are.

Meet with ClearLane by secure video while you are in Arizona, Florida, Ohio, and Washington. Choose a private space, bring your questions, and share what you want help with.

Your location, health history, and treatment needs help determine which options are available. Explore appointments or contact us if you are unsure where to begin.

    A few questions, answered

Is bipolar depression the same as major depression?

No. Depressive symptoms can look similar, but a history of mania or hypomania changes the diagnosis and treatment approach.

Can you help if I already take medication?

Yes. We can review your current regimen, past response, monitoring needs, and goals at an evaluation.

    Will I need lab work?

Some medications require blood tests or other checks. Monitoring depends on the medication and your health history, and we will explain what is needed.

    Where is telehealth care available?

ClearLane offers outpatient telehealth care in Arizona, Florida, Ohio, and Washington. Severe symptoms or immediate safety concerns need urgent in-person evaluation.
