Provider Philosophy

Thoughtful care grounded in experience.

I work with individuals navigating ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions. Treatment may integrate medication management with psychotherapy, recognizing that meaningful and sustained improvement often requires both.

A Practical Approach

Many individuals seeking care feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. My approach is structured and practical, with a focus on reducing symptoms and improving overall functioning. Care may include medication management alongside supportive, skills-based interventions that strengthen emotional regulation, coping strategies, and day-to-day consistency.

Comprehensive Perspective

My background in family medicine, addiction, orthopedics, and pain management allows for a broader understanding of how chronic medical conditions, pain, medications, substance use, and mental health concerns may overlap.

Experience and Training

I have more than nine years of experience in psychiatry and addiction medicine. I completed additional specialty training at the University of Miami to become dual certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner.

Individualized Care

Care is tailored to each individual’s history, symptoms, circumstances, and goals. I place strong emphasis on listening, identifying patterns over time, and helping individuals understand how past experiences may connect with current challenges.

Whole-Person Mental Health Care

I believe mental health care should be accessible, individualized, and focused on the whole person. My approach considers physical health, life circumstances, relationships, support systems, and the role of resilience in long-term outcomes. Coming from a family of military veterans has also shaped my appreciation for discipline, adaptability, and the importance of accessible, high-quality mental health care.

You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning care.
If you feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start, you are not alone. Treatment is centered on meeting you where you are and helping you move forward in a way that feels realistic, manageable, and aligned with your goals.
