Non-Narcotic Pain Management
Non-narcotic pain management provides telehealth support for selected chronic pain concerns using non-opioid medication, behavioral strategies, and coordination with other healthcare professionals.
Treatment considers the type and duration of pain, previous injuries, current medications, sleep, mood, daily functioning, prior treatment, and the impact pain has on your quality of life.
Treatment may include:
Comprehensive Review
Review of chronic pain symptoms, previous diagnoses, and treatment history.
Non-Opioid Medication
Prescription of non-opioid medication when clinically appropriate.
Topical Treatment
Guidance regarding topical medications and appropriate over-the-counter options.
Sleep and Mood Support
Treatment of sleep, anxiety, or mood symptoms that may worsen pain.
Self-Management Strategies
Support with activity pacing, coping skills, and practical pain-management habits.
Care Coordination
Referral for imaging, therapy, specialist care, or in-person evaluation.
Important Treatment Limitation
Opioid or narcotic pain medications are not prescribed through this service.
New injuries, severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, neurologic changes, unexplained weakness, loss of bowel or bladder control, or other concerning symptoms require prompt in-person medical evaluation.
The goal is to improve comfort and daily functioning while using safer, practical, and coordinated treatment options.
